_ingARCHITECTS have been appointed to re-design an existing detached family home, in Farnham, Surrey. 

 

The existing layout consists of divided living areas, creating sub-optimal, dark and restricted spaces, with limited views or access to the rear garden.

The client's brief was to create a more open plan and functional ground floor, whilst maximising light and access to the garden, plus sufficient storage for a young and growing family. 

​

Our proposal includes the demolition of internal walls, and a rear extension at ground floor level, opening up the floor plan, whilst creating designated areas for storage and recreation.

 

A large kitchen, dining and reception room will greet guests through glass doors off the main entrance hallway. Floor to ceiling crittall style doors will provide access to the rear garden from multiple points, and flood the rear of the property with natural light.

On the first floor we will create a large principal bedroom with walk-in dressing and private en-suite shower room. A flat roof above part of the ground floor extension creates the perfect, private terrace for sun-downers and views over the garden.
